Here I am again me dears. I have at last started to repair the damage inflicted on me blog by Photobucket. Firstly I need to fill in the missing months garden posts (May to January) then replace the missing four years' worth of photos on the previous posts.
Wish me luck and here we go with June 2017
The new red and yellow boarder has filled up nicely and looked fab.
The red hot poker had started to go over but the geums, petunias and pelargoniums were all looking good,
A new Coreopsis, 'Sun Kiss', worked perfectly with the red and yellow theme.
It mixed in very well with our old favourite
Coreopsis grandiflora "Early Sunrise"
We sowed Antirrhinum 'Defiance' and 'Black Prince' but their reds didn't work that well in the border
Having said in the past we would not grow Salvia 'Hot Lips' - it was 99 pence so here it is
Also new this year is the fuchsia wall which was doing well and will look even better later in the year
This is 'Lady Boothby' doing her best to screen the plastic greenhouse
In contrast to the hot colours of the red & yellow bed, the pastels of the cottage border seemed even more soothing -
Nicotiana mutabilis
Our Phlox had burst into colour -
and the delphiniums were still holding their own
Delphinium “Blue Fountains” mix
Salvia transylvanica
Salvia patens “Patio Deep Blue”
Ipomoea tricolor, 'Kniola's Black'
Orlaya grandiflora
Penstemon mixed colours – cottage garden variety
I love this quirky flower, Scaevola aemula
Dianthus caryophyllus 'Supertrouper Sissy'
Phlox paniculata
No room to sit !
Brodiaea laxa “Queen Fabiola”
Nicotiana x sanderae “Sensation”, mixed
This petunia was a stunner but I have no idea what it was now
There tiz then my lovelies
I hope you have enjoyed looking back at the old garden as much as I have
Till next time,
ttfn
