Here I am again me dears. I have at last started to repair the damage inflicted on me blog by Photobucket. Firstly I need to fill in the missing months garden posts (May to January) then replace the missing four years' worth of photos on the previous posts.
Wish me luck and here we go with
July 2017
What better than to start off with than our lilies.
They were magnificent
and the scent was divine.
We placed them in front of the kitchen door to get maximum effect
Nicotiana sylvestris was another joy and added even more scent to the garden
We were very pleased with the red and yellow border -
the burnt orange dahlia was moved in from the front garden
and worked well with Crocosmia "Lucifer"
together with Canna indica, 'Red'. It was sown in January, flowered in its first year and it looks very tropical, just right for the border.
As was the dramatic arrangement we created for the centre of the garden bright red petunias and pelargoniums.
we grew the dahlia from seed in our last garden. It is one of the 'Bishops Children' as are all the dahlias in our garden
Looking back as I am now, I must say I am rather pleased with the result.
Looking down 'the long walk'
towards the cottage garden
and more 'Bishops Children'.
Perovskia atriplicifolia “Blue Spire” (Russian Sage)
Lobelia speciosa 'Fan Burgundy'
Salvia patens “Patio Deep Blue”
Phlox paniculata
Well me dears we like to cram the plants in -
and we certainly did that !
We love all fuchsias but this one is very dear to us 'Lady Isabel Barnett'
'Lady Boothby'
and finally, the new fuchsia wall.
So there tiz me lovelies
Hope you have enjoyed looking back at our old garden with me
Till next time.
