The Gardens of Delargo Towers - August

What a wet grey month its been here at Delargo Towers. We have had the UK's coolest  Summer since 1993 according to the Met office.

Not a lot of change in August but the days are getting shorter and one feels the season is thinking of turning.

Not all is doom and gloom though;

The Cosmos is still going great guns;

as are the window boxes,

and pots.

The pears are looking good and should be ready by the second week of September.

In the above photo you can see our new compost bin ( homemade ) ready for the mass of material from the garden in Autumn, a mini green house and the biennials sown for next year.

The Garden is still full of bees, cloud or no cloud. The cyclamen is looking lovely.
I am now going to sit and enjoy a cup of tea in it before going to work.
