The 'Delargo Towers' Garden - March

Here we are again me lovelies with another very late post.

So without further ado lets have a quick tour of the Delargo estate as it was in March.

A few Cineraria from Morrisons are adding an extra splash of colour at the moment.

as are the violas.

the window boxes are very jolly with 'tete a tete' and more violas. 

although a bit swamped by the irises that are still refusing to flower this year.

How ever the daffs in the front border are boldly doing there stuff.

Spring has sprung

The border is coming on nicely

And the big news this month is that the green house has been moved ready for a new bed.

The seedling seem to be quite happy in their new home.

And there are a few more waiting to follow them

Next month should be interesting me thinks.

The Gardens of Delargo Towers - October

Well me dears the gloom and the damp descends but at least the cosmos have managed to flower here in Delargo Towers at last.

They have spent all summer growing rather than flowering but made it against the rain and the wind.

Indeed they must be a contender for the tallest ever.

Autumn has kicked in in earnest now but the petunias are battling on while they wait to be replaced with violas and spring bulbs.

We have been so pleased with them this year.

In the main garden every thing is on the turn.

but we are still green for the moment and there are enough flowers to keep it jolly. 

The pears have been picked and the tubs are still full.

The cosmos are doing their best here too.

The osteospermum -

and the fuchsias are still flowering well.

And we have cuttings to take them into next Spring.

Donny casting his eye on the newly arrived winter bedding,

and looking forward to the new lily brought home from the RHS winter show.

It might not flower in its first summer but this is what we are hoping to see next July

The Gardens of Delargo Towers - September.

September fades away, and alas so does the Summer.

 The window boxes might be past their best but are still full of flower

The cosmos are still heading for the sky but have at last started to flower

Plants for free  - Petunias have seeded in the pavement!

While the cosmos in the back border are at the same stage

To our great joy we have had these lovely old clay pots gifted to us by Lady Bermondsey.

More plants for free - this time it's an Asarina that's seeded itself in with the lilies:

The back bed and the pots have done well this summer but it will soon be time to start sorting them out for Autumn proper.

All the fuchsias are looking fab with lots more flower to come.

Its time to tackle the honeysuckle again methinks.

At least enough to keep it tidy and to be able to get at the pears

Next month will be time to start the harvest.
